To our SATShow Community,

I can’t believe it’s already been two months since we wrapped up SATShow 2026! As exciting as this past year has been, I think we can all agree that the upcoming 10 months represent a catalyst moment for the industry.

Over the past twelve months, the satellite sector has logged more than $150 billion in active defense contracts, a wave of landmark mergers and acquisitions, record launch cadences, and the commercial debut of technologies — direct-to-device connectivity, in-orbit servicing, space-based interceptors — that we’ve been talking about for years. On top of all that, we’re on the doorstep of one of the most anticipated IPOs from our sector. The industry isn’t gearing up. It’s already moving. And SATShow is where all of it comes together in one place.

Let me give you a sense of the landscape heading into March. We enjoyed tremendous growth in our GovMilSpace program this past year. The defense procurement environment is unlike anything we’ve seen. The SHIELD IDIQ alone has approved 2,440 vendors for Golden Dome task orders spanning sensing, interceptors, launch, and ground systems. The Space Development Agency’s PWSA Tranche 3 — the largest SDA deal to date at $3.5 billion — is delivering. And the pipeline for 2027 is even larger, with over $18 billion in anticipated Space Force and Golden Dome awards still on the horizon. If your company touches defense, government, or dual-use space capabilities, the relationships you build at SATShow and GovMilSpace this year are directly relevant to the business you’re competing for right now.

On the commercial side, the story is just as compelling. Direct-to-device connectivity has crossed from promise to product — standard smartphones can now connect to satellite networks, and the mass-market rollout accelerates in 2027. Imagery and sensing companies posted their strongest growth in years, with allied governments signing sovereign ISR contracts at an unprecedented pace. The ground systems market is on track to double by 2030. And a wave of newly commercializing technologies — AI-powered analytics platforms, optical inter-satellite links, quantum-secure ground terminals, in-orbit refueling — will have a presence on the SATShow floor that simply wasn’t there two years ago.

I program this conference with one goal: to put the people shaping this industry in the same room with the people who need to understand where it’s going. This year’s agenda will be built around the themes driving real spending decisions — defense-commercial convergence, the multi-orbit transition, the rise of on-orbit services, and the AI integration reshaping both manufacturing and operations. Whether you come to learn, to exhibit, to hire, to partner, or to close business, we will make SATShow well worth your time.

Sincerely,

Jeff
